The mugs are a good size, they hold a big cup but not so much the coffee gets cold before you can drink it. The handle doesn't get too hot in the microwave. I chose these because they match the style of the Over & Back Coupe dish set we have but I took off a star because these mugs have a matte finish vs. the gloss finish on the dish set.
