Mirri, Miriam

Miriam Mirri Born in Bologna, Italy in 1964, designer Miriam Mirri now works in Milan. She graduated at the Superior School for Anotomic Design and studied communication and design at the Universita del Progetto in Reggio Emilia, where she now teaches. Mirri worked in London with Nigel Coates and was designer Stefano Giovannoni’s assistant for many years. In addition to her collections for Alessi, she has designed for Mandarina Duck, Mitsubishi, and United Pets.

Creating pieces that offer each being another chance to live life to its fullest, Mirri specializes in pieces that exude emotion and feeling that translate to the lives of observers and consumers in a frequently cold, modern society. Her pieces for Alessi exhibit these fun-loving characteristics to the fullest and offer yet another chance for people to smile.
