This is a great decanter. Really fun to watch - we use it on a bottle when we open it in the tasting room and the customers love to watch the wine run into it and aerate. They get really interested when we turn it over and the wine runs back into the bottle. Perfect way to let a wine breathe and return it to the bottle.

Breathes Life Into Wine from Vancouver, BC on 09/05/2014 – Verified Buyer
This carafe is excellent for serving wine that typically needs time to open up while entertaining. Rather than having to wait for it to happen naturally, or decant it in advance, you can simply put it through the wine breather and serve.

beautiful decanter from hillsborough, NC on 05/27/2015 – Verified Buyer
this is a beautiful decanter that does what it is supposed to do--aerate the wine. have had no problem with leaks or drips when rotating the bottle and decanter pair; we usually flip twice in order to serve the wine from the original bottle. do rinse it immediately after using.

Beautiful design! from Springfield, VA on 05/05/2015
We are occasional wine drinkers, bought it with the thought it will be great to have it. We have not even tried to use it once.... But, we will. Pros: Great design, beautiful to look at it! Cons: Don't know if cleaning can be a problem.

Pretty AND Pretty COOL! from Santa Maria, CA on 06/03/2012 – Verified Buyer
I've used mine twice, both times I returned the wine to the bottle & used a vacuum plug overnight. The wine was great right away AND the next day. On one of the wines, I tried pouring through my single-glass aerator the next day. Wine did improve a little bit more. So, I'm thinking that re-aerating the bottle the next day is a good idea; haven't tried it yet, myself. Gave one as a gift, too, and it was well-appreciated. Someone said it was not easy to clean... I disagree. It was very easy to rinse out a few times and dry upside down. I guess if your wine has lots of sediment, it could become harder to clean. I think the key is to clean it as soon as you empty it.
