New Norm Storage Jars
The storage stone series is inspired by nature and the fascination of mixing rough and soft. Norm takes great inspiration from nature in terms of colors, materials and shapes - and these elegant storage jars are no exception. The rough exterior gives a very tactile experience. Something you need (and want) to grab and feel to get the full experience of the product. The cork lid has a tight grip and adds an extra soft and light dimension to the facileness. The opening at the top of the jars are made sufficiently big so they're accessible for both spoons and hands, and you can use them in the kitchen, the office, the bathroom or maybe even the tool house if you're a particularly design-oriented craftsman. The kind that absolutely positively needs good-looking storage for screws, pins and needles.

About the Designer
Architects Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Ronn, are deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition – which they honor and refine. According to Jonas and Kasper good design meets real needs and satisfies all senses: A classic, recognizable shape with a new, original twist that calls for attention. A surprising, little detail, or a new material enticing you to touch the product, smell it, or enjoy the sound when you put it on the table. Norm brings function and beauty together, always adding that little extra in pursuit of timelessness and soul.
About the Manufacturer
Menu is a Danish design company founded in 1976. We do design. All day actually. Occasionally at night as well. Collaborating with some of the most talented designers in the world we deliver high quality design with a crisp Scandinavian look. We call it soft minimalism.
At Menu we’re passionate about design, new materials and clever details, and we dream about making a difference.
Therefore we believe in making design matter – and we strive to do so by creating products that evoke true feelings, innovations that make a genuine difference, and by combining do-well with do-good. We’re passionate, original and responsible.
We work strategically with innovative products. We’re obsessed with clever solutions and functional details. We’re lucky to work with some of the best designers in the world and we make sure that a new Menu product always has either a new function, a new material or a new production method. That’s the originality that makes it a true Menu product.
We work hard on locating new partners in developing countries around the world. Local factories or small private co-operations where we can produce good, high quality products and at the same time provide the people involved in the production with a better economic foundation.
We believe in making design matter.
Are we going to save the world by doing this? No.
Are we going to try anyways? Oh yes.
