Aurelien Barbry

French designer Aurélien Barbry can look back on an impressive career. He worked for several years as head of design for world-renowned French architectural star Jean Nouvel on the Danish Broadcasting corporation's new headquarters building in Copenhagen and Institute du Monde Arabe in Paris. Since then, Aurélien has gone solo, and he can already lay claim to several successes around the globe, most recently for Menu with his beautiful Black Titanium series.

The Black Titanium Key Chain is about asking why utility items look like they do - and then using this as a platform for creative development. The key chain signals security in the form of a tiny lock. Only here it is refined into an elegant and dynamic accessory. The key rings handle consists of titanium-coated stainless steel, while the actual ring is made of synthetic rubber.
