Melissa and Doug Pound a peg play set

My son really liked the Pound a Peg set. Before I even got it out of the box he was reaching for it and took all of the 8 pegs out of the holes. I believe in letting children explore toys first before I show them anything. He had a great time pulling them out and trying to put them back in. Later, I showed him how to use the hammer, but he was much happier pushing the pegs with his hands. This is a great tool for teaching about colors, shapes and sizes. I was given this set to review on my blog.

My two year old granddaughter loves this toy. She likes to pull all the pegs out & put them back in one by one. She is learning to count and learning her colors everytime we sit down to play.
