Melissa and Doug Magnetic Calendar

Have this handing in my daughters room. She really loves it, we re-do the calendar together at the start of a lot of months, and talk about what is comming up. Has really helped her learn the months.

While I want to love this calendar, it has a major flaw. The magnets are not very strong so the pieces all fall off every time my son (3) knocks into the calendar. Because the pieces are small, we lost three of them in the first 24 hours after opening the calendar. If the pieces really stuck on well, I would give the calendar four stars. I think it is an excellent teaching tool for dates, weather, holidays, counting and more. This product was provided to me free of charge. No compensation was given in exchange for this review. This product has been really helpful to give my 3-year-old daughter a basic understanding of calendars, such as what day is today, what month is it, how long it is until something happens, and so much more! I like all the tiles that came with it and I think that if I really wanted to change some of them it would be easy with a bit of Mod Podge and clip art. Our favorite part is the weather tiles. There's sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, and snowy. We both enjoy this part because then there's something to do everyday. This product is great for helping my 3 year old to know what day it is and what activities she has coming up.
