Standing in a room full of Spanish designer Javier Mariscal’s works might actually seem like living in a comic strip - kids love his youthful designs just as much as adults do. Mariscal's background as a comic book artist comes through very strongly in nearly all of his designs. Exhibiting a sense of whimsy and fun by utilizing unconventional shapes and bright colors, Mariscal never quite abandoned his artistic roots. Mariscal created the mascot for the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, and in 1998 he started Muviscal, an audiovisual production company, in addition to his own firm, Estudio Mariscal. His work has been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the years.
