Above all, they wanted a special place where their children could host tiny tea parties, live in the wild west, or get lost in a pile of books. A place where they could grow their imaginations.

The moms - Andria Frankfort and Brooke Halverson - couldn't find anything close to what they were searching for. Neither could their friends. Everything was made of plastic and shockingly bright colors. Nothing seemed like it would last through three children, much less into another generation. Andria and Brooke decided they would just have to make the kinds of play tents they wanted. So they launched lucy & michael, Inc.

Made simply of whimsically combined beautiful fabrics and trims and solid pine supports, lucy & michael play tents fit the bill. Reinforced with years of design and redesign, the tent pattern grew from daily research performed by the most important and uncompromising investigators - the children who play in them.

Parents love giving their children an heirloom-quality toy that requires no whistles or lights to delight. And children are amused literally for hours on end as they thrill in occupying a space of their own. Without fail, friends and play dates beg to "go in the tent!"
