Very nice dresser
Mom on Fire from Mankato, MN
I got this dresser for my daughter's room almost two weeks ago. The dresser instructions say that two people should assemble the product but I was so excited to put it together that I couldn't wait for my husband to get home. I was able to do it myself without any problems, though. The worst part was moving the package to where I could assemble it and then opening the package. In hindsight I wish I would have chosen a place where I could have spread things out more, but assembly still wasn't too bad. They have all the holes and slots pre-drilled and ready for you to insert the screws, pegs, etc. The screws and pegs and such are put together mostly in pouches that are separated for each section of assembly. That was nice! After having just put together a DVD case from a different company and having to sort through the HUGE bag of different sized screws, pegs, nails, etc that were all just thrown together, this was a very nice change. Assembly took me just under three hours doing it by myself in a somewhat cramped area. If I could have spread the pieces out more I think it would have gone faster. The dresser itself is heavy and feels quite solid once it's put together. The drawers move in and out easily and the overall appearance is very nice. I love that you can choose whether you want the clear handles or red handles. I really only have two complaints . First is that the drawer slides are made of what feels like very flimsy plastic. I'm curious to see how long they last because they don't FEEL like they will last very long. Second, there is a big gap between the top drawer and the second drawer that shouldn't be there. The drawer slides were inserted in the appropriate spots so I'm guessing that the pre-drilled slots were just put in the wrong places. The overall appearance is good, though, and I am happy with the purchase so far.
