Ulrica Hydman-Vallien is foremost a designer in glass, but one look at her portfolio reveals her passion for painting with oils and watercolors, a love for ceramics, a spiritual union with nature. She paints in a variety of techniques, her signature style saturated colors painted resolutely and boldly onto the surface of the glass as though it were a three-dimensional canvas. Stockholm native Ulrica was brought up in an artistic family (with a mother who was also her mentor), and was schooled at the National College of Art, Craft and Design, as well as scholarship programs in the U.S. and Mexico. She joined the company in 1972 and has been awarded major scholarships and prizes, exhibited in museums and shows worldwide, and has lectured at the Bildwerk in Germany and at the famous Pilchuck Glass Center school in Washington state.

Looks cool. Is even cooler than it looks
Eire Bigdaddytom from Bellevue, WA
I broke my bathroom glass, held in a modernist chrome drinking glass holder. I had to have a replacement that could be no wider than 2.5", then had to flute out to stay in the holder. As a skilled shopping maniac, I looked long and hard for one even visibly acceptable in appearance, and crucial fit. When I found one cool enough, I ordered. All Modern nearly before I ordered, asked about my size and style needs, to ensure the one I wanted would fit. Stylish quick response.[...] The glass has heft, oozes modern chaos cool. Awesome [...] product.
BEAUTIFUL and SUBSTANTIAL
amesters from Stuart, Florida
These glasses are so beautiful! I own a set and everyone always reaches for them in my cabinet, over the other glasses. They are really gorgeous...and I cant really describe how heavy/pretty/lovely they feel as a cocktail or small beverage glass. You should buy one and try it! or dont risk it and buy a set! Theyll be sold out before you know it. SO FUN!!!
