Farmouse/Apron Sinks: front and sides are extended downward from the upper edge, forming an apron around the sink. The entire front side of these sinks is exposed on the face of the counter.

Undermount Sinks: are designed to be installed underneath the counter to give a cleaner appearance.

Drop-In Sinks: are designed to be mounted directly on top of the counter. They have a visible edge or lip that rests above the counter and can often be referred to as "Self-Rimming Sinks".

Bar Sinks: Are smaller and shallower in design than a typical utility kitchen sink and are often called "Prep Sinks."

Wall Mount Sinks: mount directly to the wall rather than a counter or floor.

Gauge refers to the thickness of the material used to construct the sink. Higher gauge refers to thinner steel while lower gauge refers to thicker steel. The lower the gauge, the thicker the steel and thus, the more durable your new sink will be.
