A little girl's dream...but maybe not a mom's.
Michelle from Hudson, OH – Verified Buyer
This dollhouse is what every little girl dreams about...very large, lots of rooms, a toilet that flushes, a keyboard that plays, an elevator and a pool (and could hold actual water if mom would allow it). But while my little girl just loves this doll house and that makes me wish I could love it as much, I have some gripes. First off is the assembly. Now, I'm a veteran assembler. I'm talking I've assembled everything from toys and electronics to grills, furniture, and, count them, TWO kitchens from a certain large Swedish retailer. But I was swearing up a storm putting this thing together because of the sheer amount of time it takes and some overlooked points in the instructions. The heads of the hardware are colored to match the background of the walls/floors so as to blend in better, which should be a good thing. My complaint is that it is not always obvious which color to use. Obviously if you have an all pink wall, you use pink. However, I had a few instances where one of two colors were appropriate making it unclear which to use. Toward the end of assembly when I ran out of colors that I needed, I found myself moving hardware around to make sure everything blended in well. This could have been easily remedied if a color code were added to the hardware in the instructions. Second, while I knew this house was large, it is much larger than I pictured it in my head which is okay...sort of. I got this for a 4 year old which poses a challenge when it comes to the depth of the pool plus the depth of the living room area. I find if I don't move the pool over to the side of the house while she's playing, she has to lean on or sit on the pool base to reach all the way into the living room. While on the whole the house seems sturdy, it cannot hold up long to the weight of a little girl. This, of course, would be less of an issue with older girls who can reach over both. Some of the features of the house do not seem well thought out, like the elevator. The track is stiff and hard to move up and down, even for myself. Also it opens out to the front. Call me picky, but if your doll gets in the elevator and goes upstairs to either of the upper rooms, she cannot "walk" directly out of the elevator into the room. You have to fly her around the wood support beam into the room to play. My daughter actually asked me why the elevator doesn't open from the side into the room for which my only answer was poor design. Another annoyance is the elevator height and door height. This house is built to accommodate Barbie sized dolls, however we have found that if the dolls are wearing shoes, which all dolls do, they do not fit into the elevator or through the doors standing up all the way. I have had to make a rule that the dolls don't wear shoes in the house, otherwise my daughter gets frustrated that she has to keep making the doll "duck". All in all this doll house is okay, and your daughter will undoubtedly love it. Just prepare yourself for the frustrations that will come along with it and the fact that you may not love it as much as your child, and come to peace with it before you order.
Great "Wow!" toy.

The only reason I did not give the dollhouse 5 stars is because it takes a long time to assemble due to the size, but it is totally worth it in the end. All the parts are labeled, so it easy to put together. It has all the furniture pictured. It has been used with "Ever After High", "Frozen", and "Barbie" dolls. There is a light, a toilet, and keyboard that run on LR44 button batteries. The batteries do come installed, but one set needed to be replaced right out of the package.

Such an amazing new age dollhouse for my daughter we love playing with it.. Only downside would be how long it took to assemble which was about 4 1/2 hours. my husband and I are average handy people still took long but well worth it!
