KidCo Angle Mount Wood Safeway Gate
Great Gate To Solve A Problem
Craig from Gibsonia, PA– Verified Buyer
This gate was great after installing the stair installation kit at the top of the stairs. The combination of the kit and this gate allowed the gate to be installed safely. It is sturdy good quality wood and opens and closes easily, but locks nicely.

Once we were able to install the gate it worked great. The only downfall is the instructions provided are not very helpful!
good for stairs

This works good wt the top of the stairs when you have to go at an angle...we gave a window in the way to be able to mount flush so this allowed us to have a solid gate anchored firmly to the wall and the stair post...looks nice too
Great Looking and easily installed

We were looking for a gate that would match our oak railings and floor and this was perfect. It is easy to install and can be installed on a diagonal which helped us miss a hand rail too. It looks really nice in our living room. Well worth the extra $ than a metal one or a plastic one.
Does the job for which it was intended

We watch our seven month old grandson at our house about once a week and needed a gate to keep him from tumbling down the stairs now that he is more mobile. The installation instructions for this gate are not good and the parts list is even more confusing. However, now that the gate is installed, we are happy with it. The gate is easily removed when we don't need it (leaving just the brackets on the wall). We installed it just high enough so our cats can crawl under it to get downstairs to the litter box. I am especially happy that there is no part of the gate that sits on the floor to be tripped over. The gate can be opened with one hand (in case your other hand is busy with the baby). However, to get the top of the gate and bottom the the gate latched properly when closing, it takes at least one hand for the top of the gate and a foot or ankle (if the other hand is not available) to line up the bottom. With a little practice, it's not a big deal.

The gate is just what we were expecting to receive. It was very simple to install. It is a great quality for a good price.

I purchased this gate on sale and using my Wayfair rewards and got a steal of a deal. We installed it this week and it looks perfect in our home. It blends in with the rest of the woodwork instead of sticking out like an ugly sore thumb. It was very easy to hang and we put it in an awkward place and the angle mounts worked out great. It is sturdy and I would have paid full price for it. Great buy.

Purchased these gates for the top and bottom of the steps and they look amazing. Wonderful for areas that are angled or uneven. A bit difficult to latch but very satisfied overall.
It's worth the cost

We love this gate. This is the 2nd one we are purchasing. We needed the first one for an angle situation. We took it with us when we moved and remounted it. I like the way you can completely remove the gate when not needed. I hung it on our wall in the last house because we used the extensions and it was so long so it looked like art or a magazine rack. I know there are less expensive options but considering the look, ease of use, young children needing to manipulate it, that it can be removed, stored and used again with no fuse (other than leaving four little pieces of mounting hardware up) this gate wins everytime.
Ok, I guess

The wood color was good, much darker than the photo, which actually worked in our favor- it matches our stairs better. My husband had a heck of a time with the installation. He was not happy, LOL! I'm disappointed that the hardware is plastic-I hope it lasts. I hate that you have to lift the gate to open it, but I guess most gates are like that. To re-latch, we find it difficult to get the bottom portion seated in place and pulling the upper button back and getting the upper portion placed at the same time. I have to use my foot to position the lower hook, while using my hands with the upper hook, all the while holding the baby! What happened to just swinging it closed?! Oh well. I offered to return it, but with all the work my hubby put into it, he didn't want to take it down. :(
