This table is in my toddler daughter's room.
small but attractive

I almost sent this back because it looked even smaller in front of my large sofa. Instead, I stood it up, put my Bose radio in the magazine holder and placed a fake candle on the bottom behind the table part to show off the etched flowers. Everyone loves it.
Can't go wrong with Kartell!

Love it. Want another 4 my dog. For bath-room. So versatile, great looking piece. Now just enjoying by bed with my magazines and morning latte!

About the Designer
Patricia Urquiola Spain (1961 - )
Born in Oviedo in 1961, Patricia Urquiola studied Architecture at the Madrid Polytechnic and at the Milan Polytechnic University where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni as her supervisor for whom she acted as an assistant at the Milan Polytechnic from 1990 to 1992. From 1990 to 1996 she also acted as a cooperative with Vico Magistretti at the Product Development Office for De Padova. In 1996 she became a partner and designer at Studio Lissoni and Associates. However, in 2001 she opened her own studio where she looks after numerous designs, installations and architectural commissions. Her design work has also generated mass appeal in the creation of consumer products for Alessi, with her sleek modern lines and geometric inspirations. The Orloff bowl design is a perfect example of such characteristics. Created with the inspiration of an inverse geodetic dome, this bowl has been formed from a single sheet of stainless steel. It has been called a masterpiece and will continue to prevail as a contemporary work of art for the home table for years to come.
A creative team of world famous designers including Ferruccio Laviani, Alberto Meda and Philippe Stark, together with Kartell, have developed a special intuition through dialogue and the continual exchange of design ideas. This has served to establish a perfect equilibrium between the designers' project experience, their ability to and the demands of the company.
In its 55 years of existence, Kartell has won prestigious international awards including 9 Gold Compass awards. Today Kartell exports 75 percent of its products to 85 countries worldwide. Lasting success and a daring challenge on the market combine with the continual desire to innovate and reinvent.
