Antonio Citterio was born in Meda, Italy in 1950, opened his own design studio in 1972, and received a degree in architecture from Milan's Polytechnic University in 1975. From 1987 to 1996 he worked with Terry Dwan and together they designed offices in Europe and Japan. In 1999 "Antonio Citterio and Partners" was founded as a multidisciplinary design studio for architecture, industrial design and graphics; founding partners were Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel.Toan Nguyen France (1969 - )
Toan Nguyen was born in 1969 in Paris, Toan Nguyen graduated in industrial design from the ENSCI-Les Ateliers in the French capital in 1995. After working for various design studios in Paris, Barcelona and Milan, he started collaboration with Antonio Citterio û one of the key designers of our times - in 1998. First of all, Toan Nguyen worked with Citterio as Design Director before becoming a partner in 2004. He founded his own design studio in Milan in 2008 û with a branch in Paris. His customers include leading international companies in Germany, the US, Italy and Spain.Echoing the curved silhouette of a spoon, the Spoon Stool is a versatile and unique type of stool. The seat is attached to a central support with a specially reinforced curve, allowing flexibility and comfort. The gas lift pump, neatly inserted into the stem, adjusts the height of the stool from 22 to 30 inches to meet a variety of needs. The design of the Spoon Stool combines a wide, rounded seat with angular, tapered feet to create a dramatic effect that accents kitchens, bars or restaurants equally well.
