The desk seems solid although I haven't completely assembled it. I have the top to attach to the two cabinets remaining. I have only assembled the two side pieces. The key lock leaves a lot to be desired. The holes for the various pieces don't line up. This company needs to actually try to put one of these together at the current "hole drilling" settings to see what I mean. The file drawer is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. All of my files now will be inserted side to side instead of front to back like a regular file cabinet. This cuts down considerably on how many files I can place in this desk. It does not have slots to hold the file holders either which means I will need to purchase those wire inserts. Hopefully I can find them that are small enough to fit in the one drawer. I may post a follow-up review after I complete the assembly.
Decent desk for price

Typical pressed wood computer desk, somewhat complicated to put together but someone handy could certainly get the job down in a few hours. Attractive modern styling, good size for a small area. All in all I was happy with this purchase and would recommend it for someone needing a space saving, inexpensive desk.

I really like this desk. A friend put it together and I asked if it was difficult to do because there were so many pieces. He said it wasn't difficult but it did take some time. It looks great.
Smaller than expected, long assembly time

This desk seems to be pretty good value for money, but we were surprised at how small it is once you have it all assembled. Be sure to look at the dimensions and make sure it's big enough before you order. We have a hard time getting more than just a laptop and flatscreen monitor on there, certainly no room for a printer or CRT monitor. Also, the assembly is pretty elaborate, the desk comes in 30+ pieces (basically broken down to the smallest parts you can imagine) so takes a few hours to put together. One other thing we noticed is that the back of the drawer parts of the desk are a particle board finish and not the dark wood of the rest of the desk, which is fine if you plan on putting the desk against a wall but not ideal if you want the desk to be in the center of a room. Other than those points it's a pretty decent desk and the build quality is reasonable for the price.
