Iglooplay:

Winner of the
2005 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum / Museum of Architecture and Design, and
Honorable Mention by the
2006 I.D. Magazine Annual Design Review the Iglooplay children's furniture collection from Lisa Albin Design combines organic forms, ergonomics, and a modernist sensibility to playfully engage both children and adults. Child development flourishes from contact with sculptural forms, material variation, and rich color, and Iglooplay blends these forms with beautiful hardwood veneers and soft, upholstered foam. What children get is a safe sense of place and play, gracefully integrated into stylish, contemporary family life.
child's play: As Maria Montessori said, "Play is a child's work" Inspired while watching her young daughters artfully create a sense of place using the objects around them, designer Lisa Albin developed pieces with low, wide proportions, organic shapes, and ease-of-use to enhance the creative process that children naturally express in their daily play.
green + safe: Nurturing our children and our earth goes hand in hand, so Iglooplay uses eco-friendly materials like resource-efficient, molded ply construction with hardwood veneers obtained from sustained yield forestry practice. By working with materials designed to last, Iglooplay reduces waste and consumes less natural resources. Best of all, Iglooplay’s multifunctional design means having fewer pieces in your home - less stuff and less waste!
