The Lansing Collection
In the1930’s, factories replaced workbench-mounted lamps with overhead fixtures that cast a wider span of light. The “RLM Warehouse Shade,” with its distinctive flare, became standard. Our Lansing pendant features a RLM shade, attached to a cast metal replica of the “explosion proof” condulets that industrial factories required. A die-cast bulb guard protects Lansing’s prismatic glass diffuser. Though fluorescents replaced RLM fixtures in the 1960s to save electricity, Lansing’s powerful LED light-source puts these pendants at the 21st century frontier of energy efficiency.
