HaPe International (pronounced Hah-Pay) is a company that produces happy toys for happy children. In 1986, HaPe was established as a company that sold toys directly into kindergartens throughout Germany; later on, expanding into Switzerland in 1993.
The company headed East in 2001 and opened Spielegut Arts & Crafts in Yunhe, China.
By 2003, HaPe spread out to the Americas and took over EDUCO in Canada to establish a successful footing in the American market. HaPe International continues to export their items to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
As the company continues to successfully grow both as a physical corporation and as an innovative toy designer, one thing is for certain; HaPe International will continue to be one of the front runners for education, wooden toys, built by happy people for happy people.
HaPe International’s three premises are to motivate, educate and protect children. HaPe uses their toys to encourage children in their individual development and to build unique personalities. Their products support children throughout every state of development to bring out their skills and abilities. And because children’s health is a key issue in toy development, HaPe International conducts a wide range of toy safety tests with respect to the mechanical, electrical and chemical behavior of their toys.
