This is a beautiful, solidly made table with sturdy chairs. The set looks great in a modern or rustic contemporary design. The size is very good for 4 to 6 people, and the way the legs are attached means that nobody has to straddle a table leg. The table is very easy to put together the chair somewhat less so but still not too bad. You'll need a helper to turn the table upright and to sit on the chairs while the seats are being attached. Two of the chairs did arrive damaged, but AllModern replaced them quickly with no hassles. Everyone compliments me on this set! All in all, a great item!

These chairs are stunning, although they are much darker as other reviewers have mentioned. I have both the Emily table and the chairs, and it is a solid, solid set. If you Google finish colors, the color of these chairs looks closest to "medium oak" or "red oak" in my opinion. Depending on the lighting it looks either medium chestnut brown, or in the light a mahogany like oak color with red hues. I am actually relieved that they aren't gold since I was unsure of that color.
Regarding assembly, it is true that it is kind of complicated. The angles are what makes it difficult--getting it lined up to tighten the bolts. You have to make the chair frame first with the seat supports to connect the legs, then place the seat on and bolt it down. We got these chairs up in about 15 min each using a power drill (my husband is skilled at assembly, so I'm not sure if this is an atypical result), but without that I imagine it would easily double per chair. Because they went up fast, I commented that others weren't keen on assembly and wondered why, but he said that out of our furniture, these were a bit trickier and 'cumbersome.'
Once together though, they are VERY sturdy. We've had many guest that would pass the average "250 lbs" weight limit and haven't had any reservations about them sitting on them. Compared to our parsons chairs at the end, they don't rock, flex, etc. Bolts have stayed tight after 3 months of use. A+ in my book.
Great chair at a great price

Chair is heavy, solid, and feels like very good quality, especially for the price. Also, the slight natural curves on both the back and seat are very comfortable. You WILL need a good power drill to put this together, and it helps to have an octagonal bit so that you don't have to rely on the enclosed allen wrench, which would be a big pain. With the right tools, they went together easily (about 15 minutes total per chair) and felt very solid after. Instructions are not great - remember that the regular washer goes on the bolt first and then the spring washer. Color is, as other reviewers have noted, redder and darker than the picture - more like cinnamon than golden oak. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.
Pros: Very solid, comfortable - feels like good quality, especially for the price.
Cons: Color is different than shown - very pretty cinnamon. Little bit of assembly.
Love the chair, hate that it's a totally different color.

The chair is solid and comfortable, but the color in the pictures is so off that I thought they sent the wrong item. This looks like a nice oak, but it's actually a dark reddish mahogany. Pretty disappointed, I'm not sure what to do with them now because I really like the chairs, but the finish doesn't match my table at all. :/
Color is not shown correctly but solid chair - perfect for round table

Color is most accurate to what you see on the backs of the chairs in the dining room set photo - not yellow at all, but more reddish than anything and certainly darker than the single chair images. The curve of the chair backs fit perfectly snug against a 48" round table making for a nice clean look when all pushed under the table. Assembly was a bit tedious but not too complex.
Great quality product

Good solid chairs. I am very pleased with design. On a couple of the chairs the staining was not as unified as I would have liked it to be. the directions to put together need to include a few more details, such as the two washers with every nut and how to place them. I found the information in other buyer comments.
Happy with everything, frome the delivery to the assembly..

Received 4 of these and am happy... the color matches my expectations exactly and they are sturdy and cat proof,,,,, easy to put together,,,,, although don't try with the allen wrench supplied.....
Pros: Great value and durable,,,,
Cons: had to modify my electric screwdriver to fit allen wrench,,,, once that was done it was easy to put together,,,,
Good quality chair with OK lines.

These were the least bad of all the dining room chairs in the $100-$125 price range. Solid wood without a laminate!
Fine chair, but color is a much darker wood than depicted.

The chair is actually a darker oak, and absolutely not the golden color that is depicted. It seemed well constructed, and requires quite a bit of assembly. Unfortunately, I had to return it due to the color.
Unique design - matches description

This is a very well constructed table, and I love the unique modern design. The only drawback is it's difficult to seat 2 people along the length because of how the legs are shaped. Think about that before you purchase!
