Good Soft Crate for the Money

Dome top can help if your dog is too leggy and too tall for normal height wire or soft crates.
An excellent purchase

We purchased two of these crates for our two Border Collies. They are easy to set up and take down. There is a nice washable fleece pad for the bottom which isn't very thick but sufficient for the time spent inside. There are nice windows that can be opened or left closed and the best part is the zippered carrying case with carry handles. We really could not find any faults with these crates and were very pleasantly surprised with their quality. If you have puppies or hyper chewing dogs they could probably get through the mesh door but we do not have that problem.

We brought this crate to take our dog Joey on short trips with us. We soon found out he didn't want anything to do with it. We try toys, treats, and putting his food in it. I even got in it to show him it was ok but, no way was he going in there. One day after work I was looking for him to greet me at the door but, he was fast asleep in the crated. My husband had put one of his bed inside the crate and he love it the pad that came with it was much to thin. SO, if you choose this crate make sure you get a better pad for you dog .

I purchased this 48" crate for my 8 month German Shepherd puppy and it is wonderful. He sleeps in the crate at night and it's light weight and foldability make it great when we travel. He has been crated since he was a small puppy so I don't have a problem with him trying to chew or scratch at it, if your dog is not used to being crated I would not recommend you train him in this crate, he would be able to tear it. The pad is not soft, so I just take along his favorite blankets and he is quite satisfied. I have read reviews about it tipping over, my puppy is a big boy, I have other dogs that are not crated when I am gone, and so far I haven't had that problem. If you travel with your dog and don't want to leave him alone while you are out, this works! I like the bag it comes in, the handles slip right over your shoulders, so it's easier to carry. I would definitely recommend this bag if you do a lot of traveling with your dog.
ECONOMIC COLLAPSING CRATE
JEN from MI– Verified Buyer
CRATE IS STURDY WHEN ALL ZIPPED UP---BUT VERY HARD TO GET DOG IN THE LITTLE DOOR AND IF YOU UNZIP FULLY TO OPEN BIG DOOR THE CRATE HAS TO BE HELD OR ELSE IT 1/2 COLLAPSES---HARD TO MANAGE DOG AND CRATE---AND THE 1/2 COLLAPSING IS KINDA SPOOKY TO MOST DOGS---
Great alternative to a tradition crate
Gemini's Gems from Falcon, Colorado
When I was comparison shopping for a soft-sided crate for my chihuahua mix, I looked at several sites and several products, read lots of reviews from people who had tried the products. I think a very important point if you are considering this type of crate for your dog is KNOW YOUR DOG. If your dog isn't perfectly crate trained, if he/she is likely to chew or dig in the crate, if he/she will lunge at other animals/people while in the crate--then putting your dog in a crate made of material (verses metal or molded plastic) may not be the wisest choice. Having said all that, I love this crate! The small size is perfect for my little dog (she weighs about 7 lbs), she has more than enough room to move around and make her a "nest" with her blanket in there. It is super easy to put up and take down, it weighs next to nothing, and I love the little carry case it comes with. The only negative I have to say is that I wish that the door on the front had the same type of flap to cover the screen that the windows on the sides and back do.
Much quieter alternative to wire crating
Kimberly from SAN JOSE, CA
If your dog likes being crated, but doesn't need to be locked away for safety, this crate is lovely. It is very easy to set up and take down, and is very quiet (no jangling of metal crate joints).
color not necessary, could be left

I use it for my service dog when we travel. My complaint offsets my compliment, so it's a 50/50 idea. When using outside, it is so lightweight I would like the bottom "sheepskin" floor to be a bit more heavy to anchor it a little better, we have had to chase the empty crate on windy days. On the downside, I love how handy the carrying case is and there is room for more items, making it heavier for a handicapped individual, so making it heavier would make the entire set up more cumbersome! Perhaps some easy type of tent stakes (metal ones, not bit fat tent ones) would help anchor the crate when the dog is not actually inside it.
Soft-sided pet crate.

I bought this for my cat's annual trek across country in my car. It is foldable. The roll-up curtains provide privacy and reassurance to a nervous pet who hides at toll booths and fast food drive-ins. I can take it into hotels to provide comfortable bedding. The bottom cushion cover is plush and removable for laundering. This was money well spent.
Lightweight and roomy
K.Ross from Menasha, WI
I purchased this for two of my cats who are at least 14 lbs. Normally our cats stay away from pet carriers/cages but they immediately, unexpectedly, liked these and sleep in them during the day. We used these for a cross country move, via car, to give the cats a bit more room. Easy to assemble, lightweight, and perfectly priced.
