George Kovacs GK Lightrail 8 Light Kit
Dont buy this fire hazard
C R Williams from Calgary
We installed this kit in April 2012. The switch was broken but we were able to tape the switch housing with electrical tape and install it. The distributor was great about sending a replacement transformer. Because it was EXTREMELY difficult to install the transformer (the housing is barely able to contain the transformer and the wires), we left the unit up. The unit stopped working after about 2 months and the wires were melted inside the housing that holds the transformer even though the unit is rated for 300 volts and we only had 8x35 volt lights on it (total 280 volts) AND it was installed correctly. We installed the replacement we had received earlier (again, very difficult) and a month ago the unit stopped functioning. Again, the wires inside were melted. So, the first unit lasted 2 months, the second unit lasted 8 months. We definitely won't be installing another transformer from this company, because it seems to me it's a fire hazard if the wires keep melting. We bought it because it was cheaper than other track lights we looked at - I guess you get what you pay for.

I am so very pleased with this purchase. The lights are absolutely gorgeous and give plenty of light. I was very happy to have read some of the other statements from purchasers on how to hang them. It will save you a lot of trouble but well worth it in the end as they are very elegant and modern but fit perfectly into my 1926 house as an eclectic update to its antique charm.

The bulbs in the lamps continually come loose and go out. Pretty much every time we turn this light on 2 or more bulbs are not on! It's a very expensive item that basically doesn't work. And now our ceiling is full of holes from the installation. NOT recommended.
I like it.

I really like the product, looks good, lighting is good for my purposes. The only problem I have is that the manufacturer recommended a low voltage dimmer which resulted in a humming noise. I am working around with other options.

I'm really impressed with this light. I looked at several other stainless steel-looking track lights which all looked cheap up close. Thus I was hesitant to order this one. Was thrilled to see the high quality when opened the box, and love how it looks. I was skeptical if the small bulbs could light up my 22' x 12' office, but it does a great job. Looks fantastic. Only drawback is that it's tough to install perfectly. We laid it all out on the floor then ran a string down the middle of the ceiling to determine the right offset for each support. Quite a project, but well worth it!

Used it on a long entry hall that had a 90 degree bend. It worked great in illuminating the entire hall and leaving no dark areas.

We were remodeling our kitchen and were trying to add new light into the area that used to be our kitchen eating area. The hole in the ceiling from the previous light was off-center from the rest of the lights because it was centered over our table. We chose this lighting system because it allowed us to utilize that same hole, while giving us amazing light for the whole space...and we are very happy that we did. It looks AMAZING! We absolutely love it! My husband, the skeptic, is even sold on it now too! It is wonderful!

We just redid our kitchen and were looking for lighting that would enhance the new look. Our son-in-law is an electrical engineer and searched online for what we had in mind and found your site. He bent the tracks in an ess type pattern and it looks awesome. We are very happy with the choice
