Gense was established in 1856 by Gustav Eriksson in Eskilstuna, Sweden and has a 150-year tradition as a cutlery manufacturer.
The Gense brand stands for functional design and timeless modernity. Gense has received many prestigious awards for its cutlery designs, from the California State Award for the Focus de Luxe design in 1955 to the Stockholm’s Formidable award in 2006 for the new product Appetize.
Gense is famous worldwide for the Nobel cutlery pattern, developed for the prestigious Nobel Price ceremony which is organized every year in December by the Swedish government. Since 1992, Nobel ceremony participants and Swedish Royal family use Gense’s Nobel cutlery!
