Emile Henry's new line of Burgundy Clay Flame-Top ceramics products work directly on a gas flame or an electric or halogen hob without a diffuser, without any fear of cracking or breaking. Much lighter, (30pct), than many types of comparable metal cookware products, Flame-Top is microwave and dishwasher-safe, cleans up very easily, is extremely strong and durable, goes under the broiler, and can go directly from a freezer or a refrigerator to a hot oven to the table, where it will retain the cooking heat for a very long time.

Love My Purple Tagine! Used it for the first time last night...it has a big enough base that you can easily feed 4 to 6 people with it. Cooked my chicken dinner beautifully, the chicken breasts came out moist and tender, potatoes and veggies cooked to perfection. One dish in an hour, what's not to love!! |

Tagine in Black by Emile Henry To date, I have used the tagine on a gas stove top several times. The various dishes I prepared came out very well. My only negative with the tagine is that throughout the cooking process liquid inside the tagine escaped at the junction of the lid and the base and was "spit" all over the stove top. Since this is the first tagine I have ever owned, I do not know if this is normal for a tagine or not. |

Awesome Tagine A tagine is an amazing cooking utensil. Meats and fish turn out flavorful and very moist. Spices and flavors meld together perfectly. I am sure this is due to the unique top which allows moisture to circulate continually as the dish cooks. Cleanup is surprisingly easy. We are very happy with our purchase. |

Looks great at table service Love the look of this cookware item but I can't use it on my induction cooktop. I look forward to better weather to try it on the outdoor grill. |

Effective & Handsome Cookware This tagine is exotic and handsome sitting out on your stovetop yet well worth the price, as it provides the foundation for a healthy and tasty authentic tagine. The little cookbook that comes with it gets you started if you're nervous, but you'll be experimenting in no time. Buy some preserved lemons and some Nomu African spices, and you're set for whatever masterpiece you have in mind. |
