I went to all the local value and home good stores to find tongs that weren't covered in rubber or Polytetrafluoroethylene and couldn't find them. Plus the prices were upwards of $10-$15. So this was a great value and they are just as described - good quality steel tongs for cooking.

These tongs are great and the price is great as well. They pick up food easily and wash well in the dishwasher.

I am required to write twenty words, so here you go: these tongs are amazing! They pick things up, turn things over, grab things, clamp things, poke things, and generally do all the things that tongs are expected to do. If you are looking to pick up people in bars, these tongs are too small. Enjoy!

Simple and Functional

These tongs are your every day, run-of-the-mill functional tongs. I didn't want fancy or expensive, I just wanted a useful pair of tongs to replace my old ones which were different, and which bent oddly at the joint. These serve the purpose just fine. They are a mite shorter than I imagined them to be, but that's not a complaint. They still do exactly what I expected them to do.

In 1888, Edward Katzinger founded a commercial baking pan company in Chicago, IL. It eventually became known as the EKCO® Housewares Co., and by the mid 1960’s it evolved as the country’s largest non-electric Housewares manufacturer. While EKCO® Cookware is still offered in our vast product portfolio, EKCO® kitchen tools and gadgets grew at a tremendous rate over the years and historically EKCO® was the only notable kitchenware brand, almost single-handedly servicing the marketplace for many, many years. The EKCO® brand became the gold standard for quality, reliable utensils that were used for everyday day meal preparation in kitchens across America. Even with the variety of items to choose from today, EKCO® tools and gadgets still remain one of the most recognizable and trusted brands in the business!
