All of Skagerak Denmark's white painted furniture is made of solid Nyatoh hardwood, which is surface treated with a thick white paint. Wood is a living material, and it works and moves in line with changes in humidity and temperature. This may cause small cracks in the paint. Such cracks should be repaired immediately to avoid moisture penetrating in underneath the paint coat. Moreover white painted furniture should be repainted / repaired as required (depending on placement, winter keeping, etc.). White painted furniture should not be left outdoors in the winter time. It is recommended to keep the furniture for the winter in an unheated room such as a garage or a cellar. At delivery the wood is dried according to outdoor average humidity, which should be considered if you want to keep the furniture indoors. Use Skagerak Denmark Wood Quick for cleaning and Skagerak Denmark white repair paint for repainting and repair. Only few things will remain unchanged for centuries and outlive generation by generation. But the light along the most northern coast of Denmark is still the same light that in the 1800-hundreds inspired artists like Drachmann, Krøyer and Ancher to create some of the greatest works in Danish history. This very special light of the North Sea and the atmosphere of Drachmann's time have inspired the design of the furniture that is named after the artist. The Drachmann range with the characteristic cross in the back and the simple, honest construction acts as today's icon for modern design based on the tradition and aesthetics of the past.
