This misses the mark

So, when viewing the picture of this light, it looks very sleek and elegant while still being minimalistic....exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, when it arrived and we actually got to see it in person, it was not impressive at all. The wood has no 'finish' to the edges - it's a perfectly square rectangle so it looks like someone just stained a regular board. The LED lights in the top are reasonably flush/smooth and look as if they were 'built' into the light. Of course, once it's hung, you'll never actually see those. But that's why it is so inexplicable that the lights on the bottom--which you can see--look as if someone just shoved in 3 LED light pucks. While it might not be noticeable once the light is on, when it is off, it looks cheap. Overall, this looks like something I could've made in my gargage for $150. I'm very underwhelmed.
