Bodum Bistro Electric Tea Kettle

This is a perfect small water heater. It is slow, takes about 2 minutes longer to heat water than the pot I wanted to replace. Now I am keeping the older heating pot. and will probably give this to one of my kids.This is great for a dorm room. The color is not quite what I had expected.

I gave the kettle as a gift for use in a vacation home. Unfortunately, it stopped working the second time we tried to use it. It worked great the first time---heated water so fast for quick use. So we were excited to use it again. Oh well.....guess we'll have to return it for another or find another brand........

Love the size and design. Only could be better if it had an 'off' switch. It does have an 'auto' shut off, but sometimes the water keeps on boiling. The only way to be sure it's off is to unplug it.

HI THIS IS A GREAT ITEM BECAUSE IT SHUTS OFF AFTER WATER BOILS AND STAYES OFF UNTIL POT IS LIFTED OFF ,COOLED DOWN AND TURNED BACK ON. I CAN SET ITFORGET AND NOT WORRY ABOUT A FIRE DUE TO A BOILED DRY POT RON

Color is cheerful, no plastic smell, stylish look

1. The whole light weight pot lifts off its base for water filling and dispensing. 2. After boiling (it really boils!) after 4 seconds of boiling, it turns itself off and the water stays hot to very warm for a very long time... 3. Well built and thought out. Someone likes us! 4. Light in weight so ouchy hands can still use it. 5. Does not take up as much space as an oriental hot pot. 6. Has a convenient window to see water fill so no water spout when boiling. 7. I turn it on when I get to the kitchen; by the time I make the coffee the water is 3/4 hot and ready... ideal temp for coffee. (boiing separates the caffine and the taste changes) 8. Easy to clean but please only boil water? It is cost effective compared to other hot pots as it turns itself off. Also is less expensive than the price of oriental hot pots by a wide margin. I am happy I switched... I do love my coffee.
