The Italian studio was established in 1996, and it quickly attained international renown with Aura, the artfully-arranged configurations of hand-twisted glass pendants envisioned by lead designer Manuel Vivan. His signature works reflect a family heritage of hand-blown glass craftsmanship, high style and the playful ambiance that are Axo Light USA hallmarks. Designer Marcello Furlan also descends master glassmakers; his passion for architecture and the graphic arts guide a translation of Venetian glass into Blum, an illuminated bouquet.

Surprising technological applications and integrated disciplines also distinguish Muse, an Axo Light USA collaboration with Studio Sandro Santantonio Design. This winner of the 2009 Good Design Award joins an architectural metal framework with a removable stretch-cover, uniting the dual benefits of colorful ambiance and ease-of-cleaning.
