Kazuhiko Tomita was born in Nagasaki, Japan in 1965 and studied industrial design at the University of Japan and furniture design at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1993 he founded his design studio, 2.5-Dimensional Design, in Milan and has worked with top international designers like Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass and Vico Magistretti.

The organic form at the upper edge of the main body of the product forms Paon's characteristic trunk grip and very own aesthetic image.
