Sergio Mazza was born in Milan in 1931. He studied architecture in Lausanne and graduated in 1954. He opened a practice in Milan with Giulian Graminia working on design and furniture projects. The studio designs products for companies such as Artemide, Saporiti, Poltrona Frau, Formica, Krupp. Mazza is best know for his work in lighting and plastics. In 1966 he founded the magazine Ottagono which he directed until 1988.
