Beautiful to look at, hard to install The toilet looks like it's a pretty good value when you order it. It also looks like a good value once it's installed. In between - not so much. Here are the issues I encounterd while installing: - The flange is sitting lower than standard (american) flanges. So I had to lower my flange to the max possible and put the toilet on shims to make it work. - The mounting brackets interfere with a standard flange. Solution was to carefully cut them down to fit next to the flange. - Last but not least, the fresh water supply is not a standard toilet connection but a sink connection. Overall, a one hour install took about four hours instead. Do-able if you're handy but be ready for it when you buy. |

Hate this toilet! Was expensive and very difficult to install. Doesn't flush very well, seat cover hits back and is uncomfortable, took my plumber forever to install. Would never buy one of these again. Makes me angry every time I walk into the room as this piece of junk was expensive. |

beautiful, but not according to spec. The drain hole is 2 inches in diameter, which is smaller than what I gather most American homes have, which is 3 or 4 inches. Also the diagram and specifications say that the center of the drain hole is 12 inches from the back of the toilet, but in fact the center is exactly 11 inches, leaving a one-inch gap between the toilet and the wall. I also had to cut my floor pipe down by a half inch to get this to fit. Not sure whether this is my floor out of spec or the toilet. Make sure your pipe doesn't extend more than half an inch above your floor! |
