Alan Chan Hong Kong (1950 - )Alan Chan is one of the few Hong Kong-trained graphic designers who has achieved international recognition. During his 40 years in advertising and design, he and his company have won more than 600 local and international awards. In 1996, his company was selected by the Graphis Press in New York as one of the Graphis Ten Best design firms in the world. In 2002, he was awarded Medal of Honour (M.H.) by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR. In 2008, he was also appointed as the Visual Arts Advisor of the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. In 2002 and 2006, his work was exhibited at the Shanghai Biennial. In addition, in 2006, Chan was also invited by Shanghai Art Museum to design the logo and poster for Shanghai Biennale. His work "A Brand New Game" of 8 computerized digital prints is a permanent collection of the Museum, and selected for the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial Awards Exhibition 2009.
