About the Designer
Martí Guixé Spain (1964 - )
Mart? Guix? was born in 1964. In 1994, periodically working as a design advisor in Seoul and living in Berlin, he formulated a new way to understand the culture of products. Guix? started to exhibit his work in 1997. His work characterizes the search for new product systems, the introduction of design in food ambits and presentation through performance. His non-conventional gaze provides brilliant and simple ideas of a curious seriousness. He is based in Barcelona and Berlin and works as a designer for companies such Authentics, B-sign, Camper, Cha-cha, Chupa-Chups, Desigual, Droog Design, Essencial mediterraneo, Imaginarium, Isee2, Magis, Nani Marquina, Saporiti, Very Lustre. Recent publications: Marti Guix? 1:1 and Mart? Guix? Cook book. His exhibitions are at MoMA (New York), MuDAC (Lausanne), MACBA (Barcelona) and Centre Pompidou (Paris).
