A bit larger than I thought, but still stunning. The shape is innovative, so this is perfect for the BOLD. It's funny how I could not tell the difference (at first) between the salt and pepper, but I love subtlety, and the sophisticated shape is seen first, and the thin black or white stripe (on the "neck") are perfect secondary indicators. The ceramic mill on the pepper mill is placed on top to avoid pepper spilling onto the tablecloth. The mill can be set to grind finely or coarsely. It works on the same principle as a pestle pounding the taste out of the pepper.
