Australia's Marc Newson has gone on to become one of the most internationally renowned industrial designers alive today. Newson incorporates a design style known as biomorphism into his various designs. This style uses smooth flowing lines, translucency, transparency and the absence of sharp edges to create a beautiful and ergonomic design. Newson has designed concept vehicles for Ford, a bike for Puma and an ingenious airplane seat for Qantas Airways—who later hired him as creative director. Newson's awards are numerous and his designs can be found in permanent collections worldwide. Item: |
