Massimiliano & Doriana Fuksas were both born in Rome and graduated in architecture from La Sapienza University. Massimilano opened practices in Rome, Paris and Vienna, with Doriana becoming his close partner in 1985. Through exhibits and projects they have won numerous titles and awards such as the Vitruvio International a la Trayectoria Award in Buenos Aires, the Grand Prix d'Architecture Française, and were named Accademico Nazionale di San Luca and Commandeur de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres de la République Française. Though their professional practice centers principally on the creation of public works, they have designed several consumer products that mirror their ingenious architectural inspirations through form.
