Stefano Pirovano Italy (1961 - )

Born in Milan in 1961, Pirovano is a designer, stage designer, graphic artist and interior designer that combines various languages in his projects and insists on the close bond between function and representation in his products and designs. As can be seen through his numerous creations for Alessi, everyday items are made into something that crosses national boundaries, cultures and ideals, mixing child and adult imagination alike with true versatility and functionality.

Characterized by bright colours and concave crystals, Stefano Pirovano's "1000" series is a representation of the designer's research, focused on creating small, lucid and sensorial objects. A unique component of this series is the crown at 12:00, instead of the traditional 3:00 position.
