All Nanciton comes from trees 100-150 years old that fell during Hurricane Felix in 2007. Nanciton is a deep brownish purple with straight consistent grain patterns. Over time Nanciton will darken and look similar to walnut.

Nogal is commonly used as a shade tree for coffee plantations in Nicaragua. once the Nogal trees become too large they are replaced with smaller trees that provide more adequate shading. Nogal is medium weight and hardness and is a consistent deep brown color.
All Cedro Macho come from trees 100-150 years old that fell during Hurricane Felix in 2007. Cedro Macho is in the same family as mahogany but has a slightly lighter reddish color.
