I liked this nightstand. The finish is smooth, I like the color. The open shelf and 2 drawers is perfect for display and storage. The drawers are difficult to pull out (pulls on the entire nightstand), but the drawers are soft close. The difficulty in pulling out the drawers is the reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5). Can't say enough how great it is to be able to adjust to my preference. My couch has rattan on the side which is now visible due to the open nature of the table.
